ACL rehabilitation

ACL rehab,
done properly.

Nine to twelve months is a long time to guess. Phased ACL rehab with VALD strength testing, objective return to sport criteria, and a physio who coaches you through every stage.

The full pathway

Surgery to sport.
Every stage.

Whether you are pre-op, fresh out of surgery, or stuck at month six with a knee that does not feel like yours.

01

Pre-op preparation

A stronger knee before surgery recovers faster after it. Prehab measurably improves post-op outcomes.

02

Post-op phases

Week one to full clearance, mapped to the six phase Paragon Method. You always know which phase you are in and what unlocks the next one.

03

VALD strength testing

ForceFrame and ForceDecks quantify quad and hamstring strength and symmetry. Limb symmetry is measured, never eyeballed.

04

Return to sport testing

Objective criteria before you are cleared: strength symmetry, hop tests, change of direction. Numbers decide, not the calendar.

05

Re-injury prevention

The highest risk window is the first two years back. We keep testing and programming past clearance, not just to it.

06

Non-surgical pathway

Not every ACL needs a reconstruction. Some knees cope well with structured rehab alone. We help you make that call with your specialist.

How we fix it

Found. Fixed.
Proven.

The same six phase Paragon Method behind every rehab we run. Data at the start, data at every retest.

Step 01

Assess

60 minute initial. Full history, movement screen, VALD strength testing where appropriate. We find the driver, not just the sore spot.

Step 02

Plan

A phased plan from regain to sustain, built from your numbers. You leave visit one knowing what is wrong, how long it takes, and what it costs.

Step 03

Rebuild

Strength based rehab, coached in the room. Retested every 6 to 8 weeks so you can see the progress, not just feel it.

Common questions

Asked often.

Quick answers. For anything else, call 1300 727 246 and talk to a human.

How long after ACL surgery until I can play again?

Most athletes return to sport between 9 and 12 months post surgery, when they pass objective criteria. Returning before 9 months significantly raises re-injury risk. We test rather than guess, and we will not clear a knee the data says is not ready.

Do I definitely need surgery for a torn ACL?

Not always. A subset of people function well with high quality rehab alone, depending on age, sport, instability and goals. We assess honestly and work alongside your surgeon or GP either way.

What does return to sport testing involve?

Strength testing on VALD equipment, hop and landing tests, and change of direction assessment, compared against your other leg and sport specific benchmarks. You get a clear report, and so does your coach or surgeon if you want.

Can you work with my surgeon?

Yes. We routinely co-manage with Sydney and Sunshine Coast orthopaedic surgeons, follow their protocols where specified, and send progress reports at each milestone.
