Frequently asked questionsEverything people ask before they book: referrals, costs, funding, and how the Paragon process actually works. Anything else, call 1300 727 246.
AppointmentsWhat to expect before you walk through the door.
No. Physiotherapists are primary care practitioners, so you can book directly. You only need a referral for DVA, Workers Compensation, or Medicare Chronic Disease Management appointments.
60 minutes, every time. Full history, movement screen, strength testing where appropriate, and a clear explanation of what is going on. You leave with a plan, not a pamphlet.
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Shorts for lower limb problems, a singlet or loose top for shoulders and backs. Bring any scans, reports or referral letters you have, and your private health card if you plan to claim.
Usually within a couple of days, often same day. Call 1300 727 246 or book online and the team will find the earliest slot at your closest clinic.
For physiotherapy, book at Glenmore Park or Silverdale, whichever is closest. Mulgoa is our dedicated training and exercise physiology facility for EP appointments, classes and P-PAR testing. Every location runs the same six phase methodology and shares your records.
Costs and fundingPrivate health, Medicare, NDIS and everything between.
Yes. Physiotherapy is claimable under most extras cover. Rebates depend on your fund and level of cover, so check with your insurer for exact amounts.
In some cases. If you have a chronic condition, your GP can assess you for a Chronic Disease Management plan, which subsidises up to five allied health visits per year. Talk to your GP, then bring the paperwork.
Yes. We deliver physiotherapy and exercise physiology for NDIS participants, plan managed and self managed, and we handle the reporting and admin. See our NDIS page for details.
$247 for the full 60 minute assessment: VALD ForceFrame, HumanTrak and Dynamo testing, your P-PAR score out of 100, a written strategy plan, and a 2 week S&C class trial.
TreatmentWhat makes the Paragon approach different.
Your Physical and Performance Attribute Rating: a score out of 100 built from 30 measurements across strength, movement and power on VALD equipment. It shows exactly where you stand and what to fix first.
Regain, Adapt, Enhance, Refine, Perform, Sustain. Every patient gets a roadmap on day one and is retested every 6 to 8 weeks, so progress is measured rather than assumed.
Hands-on treatment has its place, but lasting change comes from strength and capacity. Expect a plan that involves doing, not just receiving.
Absolutely. Most of our patients are everyday people: desk workers, parents, tradies, retirees. The same data driven process works for every body.
Yes, that is the point of the Sustain phase. Most patients transition into a program: Adult Fitness, Athlete Development, Pilates, or the Studio at Mulgoa.
