Running injury physiotherapy

Keep running.
We fix the rest.

Shin splints, runner’s knee, angry achilles. Running injuries are load problems, and load problems are solvable. Assessment with 3D movement analysis, then a plan that keeps you on the road.

What we see

The usual
suspects.

Nearly every running injury comes down to load outpacing capacity. We measure both, then fix the gap.

01

Shin splints

Medial tibial stress. We separate it from stress fracture risk, then rebuild calf and hip capacity while managing mileage.

02

Runner’s knee

Patellofemoral pain that flares on hills and stairs. Strength plus running mechanics, not just foam rolling.

03

ITB syndrome

Lateral knee pain that shows up at the same distance every run. A hip and cadence problem more often than an ITB problem.

04

Achilles tendinopathy

The morning-stiff, warms-up-then-worse tendon. Responds to progressive loading, sabotaged by complete rest.

05

Plantar fascia pain

First-steps heel pain. Managed with loading, footwear guidance, and calf capacity work.

06

Bone stress injuries

The one category where pushing through is dangerous. We screen for risk factors and manage return conservatively.

How we fix it

Found. Fixed.
Proven.

The same six phase Paragon Method behind every rehab we run. Data at the start, data at every retest.

Step 01

Assess

60 minute initial. Full history, movement screen, VALD strength testing where appropriate. We find the driver, not just the sore spot.

Step 02

Plan

A phased plan from regain to sustain, built from your numbers. You leave visit one knowing what is wrong, how long it takes, and what it costs.

Step 03

Rebuild

Strength based rehab, coached in the room. Retested every 6 to 8 weeks so you can see the progress, not just feel it.

Common questions

Asked often.

Quick answers. For anything else, call 1300 727 246 and talk to a human.

Can I keep running while injured?

Often yes, at modified volume and intensity. Most tendon and joint problems tolerate some running during rehab, and keeping you moving preserves fitness and sanity. Bone stress injuries are the exception, and we screen for those.

Do you look at my running technique?

Yes. VALD HumanTrak gives us 3D movement analysis, and we assess cadence, stride and loading patterns alongside strength testing. Small mechanical changes often unload the injured tissue significantly.

Do I need new shoes?

Sometimes, but shoes are rarely the whole answer. We give practical footwear guidance based on your loading pattern rather than pushing a brand.

How fast can I get back to full distance?

Depends on the tissue. Muscle strains rebound in weeks, tendinopathies take 8 to 16 weeks of progressive loading, bone stress longer. You get a week by week return-to-distance plan, not a vague "ease back into it".
