What is Paragon Physiotherapy?

We’re a mobile physiotherapy company. We come to your home, workplace or can even arrange to meet you at a neutral venue, like a leisure centre. We provide a high level of care that is consistent with the best available evidence.

What are the benefits of mobile physiotherapy?

We can support your return to function after surgery when it’s difficult to drive due to pain, legal or physical restrictions. We come to your home after a motor vehicle accident when your car is in the repair shop and you’re a little anxious about driving. We can tailor your rehabilitation more accurately to your environment.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your injury. That is, there is no set number. Your physiotherapist will discuss the estimated number of sessions after your first consultation.

Do I need a referral?

Private: No referral required.
Workers Compensation & Motor Vehicle Accident Claims: A referral from your GP is required. A referral ensures that you’re covered under the relevant insurance body.

How do I pay for my appointment?

For private consultations, your physio will take payment at the end of each session with PayWay. PayWay is a secure platform from WestPac that accepts card payment.

How do I prepare for my consultation?

Wear clothing that allows our physiotherapists to assess and treat the injured area.Have relevant medical information ready to show your physiotherapist. For example, recent x-ray results. For Workers Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident claims, have information relating to your case ready. For example, your physiotherapy referral from your GP and your current medical certificate.

What can I expect from my first consultation?

● A thorough assessment

● A tailored management plan

● The opportunity to ask questions

Please note that it’s normal to experience soreness for up to two days after your consultation. However, if the discomfort persists for longer than this or you’re in a lot of pain, please call us.

What do I do if I can’t make or miss my appointment?

Please call us 24 hours prior to your appointment to reschedule or cancel. This allows us to fill your appointment spot.
Otherwise, a cancellation fee (equivalent to the value of your session) applies.

Can I get a private health rebate?

Yes – if you are covered for physiotherapy under your private health plan. You’ll be sent a PayWay receipt via email in the days following your payment. Take the receipt to your private health company for reimbursement. Check with your private health company in advance to check your level of cover and how much you can expect to get back.

Can I get a Medicare rebate?

Unfortunately not. Medicare does not provide a rebate for physiotherapy.

Do you accept care plans?

Currently, we don’t accept care plans.
